rocks from passing through.

a. Filter paper – particles gathers in the filter paper and water
passes through
b. Funnel – channels the water into the flask
c. Flask – gathers the water after filtration
4. Evaporation
can separate solids that are soluble from a
liquid.
Condensation
Condensing is when water vapour changes into
liquid water
Evaporating dish- water evaporates into the air, leaving
only the salt.
5. Chromatography
can separate different colour dyes.
Distillation
Can separate a solvent from a solution.
Paper- spots of ink are placed on a pencil line. Solvent soaks
up to the ink and each colour sip upwards at a different rate
