Our quiz type service "Smart Now" is one of the top selling Value Added Services (VAS) in Eskimi portfolio. We extended standard quiz type service onto mobile internet. In such a way we brought more value for people subscribing for "Smart Now".
2. Smart Now was launched on March 2014 for customers of one
of Nigerian Mobile Operators.
Customers of the second Nigerian MNO started to use service
on August 2014.
After the first 3 month Smart Now had 100.000 subscribers.
After the 6 month from the launch Smart Now had 300.000
subscribers.
Forecast – 900.000 Smart Now subscribers till the end of 2014.
Successful billing rate (percentage of paying users) – 20-25%
Churn rate (leaving users) – 10% from all data base per month.
3. ABOUT SMART NOW
Smart Now is a project set up to increase general
knowledge. It is also fun way to learn.
Test questions challenge while allowing users to
memorise the information even better.
Users receive points for each correct answer – this
way creating an engaging self-achievement factor.
Top scores and daily-weekly-monthly winners are
presented on the mobile web.
4. HOW DOES IT WORK?
Users have access to a mobile portal which contains
lessons on various topics: maths, history,
geography, general science, celebrities.
Service subscribers can read different lessons of
information on the mobile portal and they receive 1-
3 test questions daily which they can answer on
mobile web.
Each question has: picture (with a hint about the
correct answer) and 3 answer options to pick one –
correct.
