To Whom It May Concern:
It gives me immense pleasure to write this letter for Mr. Erik Karlsen. I have known
Erik for over one semester now and am his Professor at the New Jersey Institute of
Technology (NJIT), for a Kinematics of Machinery course in the Spring of 2012, and
Introduction to CAD in the Fall of 2012. Erik’s strong participation in all the courses has
made him a unique student.
In both courses, Erik was not only prompt at submitting his assignments, but
submitted detailed and good work. He asks technical questions that relates to the subject,
and suggest his thoughts in a respectful manner.
Erik has shown a very good interpersonal relationship with his colleagues. In
numerous occasions during the lab work, I observed him communicating his results with his
classmates and working together with them to resolve any issues with the work. In other
cases, he has shown very strong discipline in completing his projects independently with
unique results.
Personally, I feel that he is a pleasant person to work with and an individual of good
stability and organizing skills. I feel that Erik would be a fine candidate to the Internship
Program at your company.
