Mexico is located in North America, bordering the United States to the north. It has coastlines along the Gulf of Mexico, Caribbean Sea, and Pacific Ocean, giving it a diverse climate with both temperate and tropical zones divided by the Tropic of Cancer. The temperate zones in the north have drier, colder weather while the tropical areas in the south have more constant temperatures that vary based on elevation.

divides the country into two sets of climatic zones.
4. •Temperate zones. They are located north of the Tropic of Cancer. Here are
the drier climates, with colder winters.
5. •Tropical areas. They are located south of the same tropics. Temperatures here
are fairly constant throughout the year, varying only according to their height.
