2.  MARKET ANALYSIS:
 Key benchmark indices eked out small gains after provisional data showed that foreign institutional
investors (FIIs) remained net buyers of Indian stocks on Monday, 24 September 2012.
 The BSE Sensex was up 20.33 points or 0.11% to 18,693.67. The index jumped 116.67 points at the
day's high of 18,790.01 at the onset of the trading session.
 The S&P CNX Nifty was up 7.20 points or 0.13% to 5,676.80, as per provisional figures. The index hit
a high of 5,702.70 in intraday trade.
 From the 30-share Sensex pack, 19 stocks fell and rest of them rose.
 Index heavyweight Reliance Industries (RIL) rose 0.21% to Rs 838. FMCG stocks rose on renewed
buying. Nestle India, Dabur India, Hindustan Unilever and Marico rose by between 0.06% to
2.01%.Godrej Consumer Products rose 2.31%.United Spirits jumped 11.38% to Rs 1173.90 after the
company and Diageo plc issued a joint statement today, 25 September 2012, confirming that Diageo is
in discussion with United Spirits and United Breweries (Holdings) for a possible transaction for
Diageo plc to acquire an interest in United Spirits.
