Team Sports are any sports which
involves participants working together
as they seek to achieve a shared
objective.

BASKETBALL COURT
In basketball, the basketball
court is the playing surface,
consisting of a rectangular
floor, with baskets at each
end. Indoor basketball
courts are almost always
made of polished wood,
usually maple.
COURT DIMENSIONS
Balls used in Basketball
The basketball is an inflated sphere with an outer
covering. It is 75 to 78 cm. in circumference and weights
about 600-650 grams. It must be made of leather in
official FIBA competitions.
Basketball backboard and Rim
The regulation height above the ground for the
rim is 10 feet. And the rim is 18 inches in
diameter. The back boards are 6 feet wide (72
inches) by 42 inches tall. With the inner square
being 24 inches wide by 18 inches tall.
The Foul Line
The foul line is the line directly
in front of the hoop where foul
shots are attempted. It is also
known as the free throw line.
The Key
The key is a 12 feet wide and is
the same for all basketball courts.
The backboard extends four feet
out over the baseline in the key. A
half circle of a diameter of 6 foot
extends from the foul line away
from he basket to complete the
key.
Different Keys in Basketball
The three-point line for NBA basketball
courts the 3-point line is 22 feet from the
center of the rim.
