The shape and size of test specimen depend on the material of test specimen. Stripped specimen is preferred. The width of specimen should meet the requirement. The edges of the specimen should be flat and parallel to each other. The specimen with visible imperfection should be abandoned. The film may show anisotropy therefore it is necessary to prepare two groups of specimens both horizontally and vertically.

Then mount the specimen properly with pneumatic clamp. C: Set up test parameters, specimen parameters and select proper test speed. Then start the test.
