BuzzFeed College Pitch, final presentation.

1. An apprenticeship program that will help media consumers become content creators.
● College students should not only turn to Buzzfeed for news and entertainment, but to also contribute
their ideas and experiences where it’s valued by their peers.
● Our idea is to create a BuzzFeed College channel, on the Buzzfeed website. For college students to
create and contribute original content. This will allow students to become content creators
themselves, with posts that are extremely relatable.
● Students will be able to apply to be ambassadors for their campus. It would be a non-paid,
experience-based position in which they would work closely with a mentor from Buzzfeed corporate
who will give feedback and constructive criticism.
● We valued our experience in our Newhouse Buzzfeed course, and we think it would be beneficial for
students to gain similar experience, while both creating work for their own portfolios and receiving
mentorship throughout the process.
