This is entirely understandable; the beverage’s rich, dark, and
flavorful taste keeps people energized for several hours in a day.
And such feeling associated with coffee is related to its roast
level. Below are three main coffee roast levels.

Light: Beans are light brown in color, with this roast level
preferred for milder coffee varieties. The beans will have no oil
on the surface. This is because the beans were not subjected to
enough heat for the oils to break onto the surface. Typically, this
roast has a distinct floral or fruity taste.

Medium: Considered the Goldilocks bean, medium roast coffee is

the bitterness. The bean itself is only slightly oily and can vary in
color between light-brown to a richer, darker color. The balance
of this roast is also considered its weakness; with many
connoisseurs talking about an absence of any real strong taste.
Dark: These beans give the boldest, richest taste that is
sometimes comparable to a chocolate-like flavor. They have a
pronounced bitterness and often leave an aftertaste. These
beans, however, need to be handled with care. It is very easy for
dark roasts to become too acrid and charred. It should also be
noted that the darker the roast, the less acidity is found in the
coffee.
Those who truly love coffee are asked to experiment with their
beans and see which one suits their preference. It is also fun to
try and mix and match coffee roasts with various desserts.
