2. Breast cancer effects one in eight women
during their lives. Breast cancer kills women
more than any cancer except lung cancer. No
one knows why some women get breast
cancer but there are a number of risk factors.
Risks that you cannot change include :

3. 1. age : the chance of getting breast cancer rises as a
woman gets older.
2. genes : there’re two genes, BRCA1 and BRCA2, that
greatly increase the risk.
3. women who have members with breast or ovarian
cancer may wish to tested.
4. personal factors like beginning periods before age
12 or going through menopause after age 55.
5. other risks include being overweight, using
hormone replacement therapy, tacking birth control
pills, drinking alcohol, not having children or having
your first child after age 35, or having dense breasts.

8. For the ladies the breast self examination should be
done at the same time every month, if you have
normal period the examination is done on the 7th or
12th day from the beginning of period and for the
ladies who do not have or their cycle is irregular, they
can choose a fixed day of each month for the
examination.
As for men they can choose one day per year for
examination such as their birthday for example.
