Elliot has worked in the field of sustainable transport since 2005 - in local government, transport industry groups and private consultancy. He specialises in pedestrian and bicycle planning, undertaking projects for federal, state and local government. He has a comprehensive understanding of level of service and benefit cost analysis for active transport modes, bicycle/public transport integration and stakeholder engagement. He is a lecturer in Integrated Transport Planning at RMIT University and is Associate Editor of the Oxford based journal Transport Reviews for a Special Issue.
