The Green Growth Working Committee held three roundtables in 2015 focused on accelerating green innovations, sustainable tourism, and innovative green financing in preparation for COP21. Key events included a site visit of the eco-tourism development Villages Nature and a roundtable on innovative financing tools to drive a low-carbon economy. Upcoming projects include drafting a paper on green financing with HEC school and partner events around COP21 in December.

Site visit to the soon-to-be-launched eco tour-
ism destination Villages Nature.
The group explored the building site and mock
rooms to understand the innovative concept of sus-
tainable buildings. Disneyland Paris then presented
its horticulture and landscaping strategy.

Upcoming Projects During COP21
1. The Committee is currently drafting, in partnership with HEC school, a paper on green innova-
tive financing.
2. With the United States Council for International Business (USCIB), we are building a program
around COP21. More information on projects and events coming soon.
3. AmCham France has partnered with the International New York Times for the Energy for Tomor-
row conference on 8 and 9 December, in Paris. The conference will convene high-level thought lead-
ers in government, business, academia and the media, to explore the business opportunities and chal-
lenges – including the essential technologies, policies and financial implications – linked to the world’s
transition to a low-carbon, climate-resilient, energy-efficient future.

On the road to COP21 and after: innovative fi-
nancing for sustainable business
Acknowledged financial experts discussed the
tools currently being designed to drive the econo-
my of the future. The event was officially labelled
COP21.
The roundtable was introduced by AmCham’s
Managing Director Caroline Ryan and the Commit-
tee's Chair Nicolas Régnier. Ella Etienne, the Com-
mittee’s other Co-Chair moderated the panel in
both French and English.
