I am currently a sophomore at Dripping Springs High School and have been a proud line member
of the award winning DS Hi-steppers for 2 years now. Next year, I will be a junior and I am
applying for the esteemed position of First Lieutenant Officer for the 2015-16 Hi-stepper Team.
Though I am only 16, I am well immersed in leadership through my family and other’s
teachings. As an older sister of a seven year old, I have learned to be more than aware of my
words and actions as well as the compassion, respect, patience, and selflessness that comes along
with caring for younger siblings. I am also involved in a Leadership Academy that gives me the
ability to learn the qualities of an effective leader and how I can apply that to my everyday life as
well as the more prominent leadership roles I am graced with through the service of others. I
strive to always be the best I can be in order to be a role model for my peers and the community
and I am consistently smiling and laughing thanks to the positive outlook that I have been
blessed with.

Hobbies and Interests
My main hobby/interest is dance. I absolutely love being given the ability to express myself
through the beauty of movement and having my amazing team to encourage and accept
encouragement from makes the experience one I wouldn’t trade the world for. Middle School
dance helped me realize my passion, but drill team has really opened my eyes to see that the
movement of 40 or 50 girls as one on and off the floor is irreplaceable.
When I am not on the dance floor you can often find me singing, acting, or preforming in some
other way. Aside from preforming I enjoy learning new things, writing stories or poetry, reading,
caring for my pets, helping out around the house, or spending quality time with my family.
