2. Cinematography/Camera
Establishing shot- of the elite sitting having a
meal- wealthy and have money
Wide shot- them all eating
Face to Face- ironic even though they’re higher class,
we feel part of the same class
because were also threatened.
Mid shot- of the food to show the contrast against
living in wealth and living at the
lowest of the low.
Crane- show how deep far down the cells
Low angle- criminals are dominant over us- as if
were defensive over the women
Even though she’s in the cage.
Wide shot- black woman looking down on the girl in the cage- ironic because
physically she’s not superior over the girl but in society’s vision she is because she is
a lot wealthier.
3. Sound and Lighting
Dialogue- the people at the start are discussing about
the criminals- gives you an insight on what the general
film is about.
Non-Diegetic sound- of music which may connote
it’s a crime or they’re in trouble kind of subject.
High Key lighting- in the restaurant to make it seem
warm and rich but still feels distant and not welcoming- as if
we as an audience don’t belong in the conversation.
Off Key lighting- as soon as they mention the villains- they’re the evil of evil.
Non-Diegetic sound- beautiful, calm music as if this girl can deceive- that’s
why she’s
so dangerous.
4. Editing
Slow Cut- to show it’s a calm and respectful environment
Fade to Black- once the door opens to show a dark side and a side where us as a viewer
are scared.
Slow Motion- officers running- as if they want to take their time because they’re at risk.
5. Mise En Scene
Weather- suggesting they’re talking about something or someone
dangerous and dark.
Costume- old man wearing a uniform so he must be part of an
army and the other man
man wearing a suit to suggest he maybe wealthy.
Facial Expression- Cara Delevigne being confused she’s in the
same situation as us.
