1. KEEP THE COAST CLEAR
CAMPAIGN
PRODUCED BY: Justine Pimentel & Eden Schulte
ADV 124 Copywriting T/Th @ 1:30 Fall 2015
CLIENT: Save Our Shores
OUR BIG IDEA: Is to spread the word about marine protected areas, specifically El-
horn Slough Reserve. Elkhorn Slough Reserve is a home to many species including
plant life, insects, marine animals and birds. The reserves main purpose is to protect
and restore its habitats and resources.
We would like to target those interested in mpa’s as well as people who enjoy ad-
venture at the beach. We would like to get our campaign across using social media:
Twitter, Facebook, Instagram and YouTube and our main hashtags are #KeepThe-
CoastClear and #TeamSOS. With the ideas we conducted we kept an informative
tone of voice throughout our campaign.
2. THE TECHNOLOGY
What do you think about the photo on the left? Breathtaking, right? Now
what about the photo on the right? Heartbreaking, right? The terrifying
photo on the right does happen, trash builds up in such places where
many creatures and sea creatures live causing harm to their health and
home. The team of Save Our Shores is trying to keep the coast clear of
rubbage, to make sure the homes of these creatures are taken care of.

3. This past weekend many visitors of Moss Landing Beach were greated by the disturbing
sight of dead birds. They found that the birds were ingesting the microbeads from face-
washes. These birds were not able to tell the difference between food and the microbeads,
therefore these bird died from starvation. Please help us keep the coast clear
