This document outlines a project called "ROAD TO SMEs" which aims to promote entrepreneurship among migrants and refugees in Cartagena, Spain. The Local Development and Employment Agency of Cartagena will implement a series of programs over 24 months to help migrants create and grow businesses. They are seeking at least two partners from different EU member states, such as NGOs, education providers, or public organizations working with migrants. The goal is to help migrants integrate socially and economically through entrepreneurship programs that apply new approaches and methodologies.

Main activity/dimension Local Development and Employment Agency (ADLE), was
created by the Council of Cartagena City, is an autonomous
non-profit body. Its main aim is to promote Job creation, by
promoting the incorporation of unemployed workers into the
labour market, and by boosting the creation and consolidation
of entrepreneur initiatives. In general, the Agency improves
the economic and social development in Cartagena City.

Summary: The aim of this Project is to promote entrepreneurship among
migrants and refugees, thus enabling them to integrate from a
social and economic perspective. This is achieved through a
series of holistic programmes for the creation and
consolidation of firms in which new approaches and
methodologies are applied.
The proposed actions are consistent with the Entrepreneurship
2020 Action Plan and good practices, and the broad categories
presented in a Study on Good practices in Promoting and
Supporting Migrant Entrepreneurship.
Also, this Project shall incorporate new dimensions and
approaches aimed at promoting entrepreneurship, business
growth and competitiveness.
The ultimate goal of this Project is to meet the social and
economic needs of migrants on the basis of their cultural
experience in entrepreneurship, as this will more swiftly and
effectively help them integrate in our society through self-
employment and social economy enterprises.
