2. Business suit
What I wore in the film was a grey suit with a white shirt and blue
tie. The suit is chosen because the protagonist ( Damien Nick Arthur)
is coming home from work which is a white collar job therefore it is
logical to assume that because he works in a blue collar industry he
would be wearing a smart clothing such as a suit. The costume helps
to convey a person that is intellectual and smart.
3. Overcoat & Scarf
The overcoat covers the blazer and shirt meanwhile the scarf covers
the tie. The coat is black and the scarf is red because it helps draw the
audiences’ attention towards the face of Damien making the character
stand out as the red colour can easily be seen than the black. One of
the inspirations for this is from the film Schindlers list (Spielberg,
1993), when the little girl stands out from the crowd with her red,
bright coat. The other reason for the use of the coat and scarf is that
most blue collar workers wear them when cold or raining so by trying
to replicate this aspect, it was beneficial to use the overcoat and scarf
as costumes.
4. Casual clothing
• This is the clothing use by Katie as the lady. It is
casual clothing which fits in what we were trying
to convey in that she is a person just like
everyone else but this is not the case. The
costume is one of the aspects used to deceive the
audience into thinking she is not important
