Preface
Job satisfaction is a set of favourable or unfavourable feelings with which employees view
their jobs, more specifically the nature of jobs they do, the quality or supervision they receive,
co-workers’ pay &promotional avenues. Job satisfaction affects job performance, employee
turnover and absenteeism. High job satisfaction results into high work performance, less
employee turnover, and less absenteeism.
Job satisfaction as involving cognitive, affective and evaluative reactions or attitudes and states
it is “a pleasure or positive emotional state resulting from the appraisal of one’s job or job

 Working for Platlap Solutions, Chennai from Jan 2014 to till date
ROLES/RESPONSES:
In this Organization, I was given extra roles to handle with. I do IT Recruitment here. I
am exposed to Senior Profiles like handling 10+ 15+ 20+ yrs experience candidates.
Consuming suitable profiles from Naukri portal, speaking with the candidates and scheduling
their interview. My role is not completed with scheduling the interview.
After the candidates tell us their interest I need to upload their CVs in our clients’ portals, get
source confirmation from the candidates and finally checking the source with the clients if the
CVs are accepted by them. Once the candidates are shortlisted I may have to interact with the
candidates and client regarding their offer, offer bonus, DOJ and variables issues.
I am end to end responsible for candidates’ joining. The most important thing is I should be in
touch with the candidates after their offers are released. Like taking care of many stuffs, if
they have completed medical/nsr, document verification and other formalities required for
joining.
