States = 24 (In each state 50 obese persons, BMI ≥ 25
Kg/M2 were selected).
Groups= Yoga group and Nutritional advice group.
Assessments= Anthropometry, Body composition,
Sagittal abdominal diameter, Muscle strength, Energy
intake, Energy expenditure, Lipid profile, Quality of life.
Assessments were at baseline, 3 months, 6 months, 9
months and at 12 months for both groups.

Twelve weeks of yoga or nutritional advice for centrally
obese adult females
Methods: N= 58 female (Yoga 29; Nutritional Advice 29)
Intervention of yoga: 75 mins/day, 3days/week including
postures, breathing practices, and guided meditation for 12 weeks
Findings: Yoga and nutritional advice with a diet plan can reduce
anthropometric measures associated with diseases related to
central obesity, with more changes in the YOG.
