POST APPLIED :- Diagnostic speacilist / application speacilist Flowcytomery & Cancer Research
/ Sr.Lab Tech Flowcytometry and hematology
Instument- BD FACS Canto 11 ( 10 color panel used )
CAREER OBJECTIVE:
 To work as a qualified and successful Diagnostic speacilist of flowcytometry in a
motivating and competitive environment where I can apply my skills and learn newer
techniques to upgrade myself to provide effectiveness in the relevant field.
 flow cytometry services for clinical laboratory support, beginning with cytometer
maintenance, troubleshooting and FACS DiVa database management. Maintained
large inventory of CAP-compliant 8-color cocktails for surface and intracellular
staining, with targets including cytoplasmic kappa and lambda, ZAP-70, and TdT.
Performed re-compensations where indicated following voltage adjustments or
tandem dye breakdown. Acquired titration data using DiVa batch processes.
Analyzed performance data for new equipment purchases, using multispectral
beads. Coordinated change of platform for flow assays, from 8-color BD Cantos to
10-color , Managed QC documentation for cytometer performance on Gallios and
Cantos. Authored new reporting templates in FCS Express for comparison of new
antibodies and all other laboratory developed tests. Wrote SOPs and trained
technical staff. Services were provided to a top-five clinical reference lab, with
high-throughput case loads and <24 hour turn-around times
Practical session cover-:
operate, maintain and troubleshoot the instrument
setup the instrument by selecting relevant controls for performance, compensation and
gating
design multicolor experiments up to 10 colors
adapt default sorting settings to optimize speed, viability, purity and efficiency
perform optimized sorts on different applications including various samples and rare
cell populations
Date management and data acquisition using the BD FACS Sortware software
Multicolor gating and compensation
Standard operation and maintenance procedures
