Education
Teaching process has its fruits when it is on a gradual basis. A
student should be given some issues from each section of the
subject to be learned. A teacher should introduce those issues as
basic fundamentals summarized in small amounts to be well
understood. It is important to take into consideration the
student's power of mind and preparation to gain this knowledge.
Following this method of general points of the subject makes
students have a good experience of it yet, it is little. The aim of
this step is to prepare students to understand the basics matters
of the knowledge they should have.
The next level is to teach students more details about the subject
they learn. A teacher should teach them the points of
disagreement of each issue of the knowledge. This method would
be followed till the end of the subject leading to improving their
faculties and experience of this knowledge.
The final step of this process is to go through the subject deeply
and know how to solve the most complicated aspects of it.
Students should learn how to deal with the difficult parts
concerning it. By the end of the process, they would have a full
understanding of the subject as their experience of it has
developed gradually by starting with the general parts then going
through higher levels of learning during the process.
This method is a successful one since it has three types of gradual
repetition. Some students could learn subjects in less than those
three steps according to their own individual abilities.
Unfortunately, many teachers of our modern age do not know
anything about the effective teaching methods. They start the
education Process by introducing the hard points of the subject to
students and asked them to open their minds to solve them. They
think that applying this way would make students learn and
practice much better. Their method would not ripe its fruits as
long as they make students confused by loading their minds with
the obscure matters of the subject while students are not well
prepared to gain those great amounts of knowledge.
Students should get prepared for any type of knowledge gradually
by having the basic concepts of it then learning it in details. They
could not understand all the matter from the first lesson.
Teachers should use different ways of explaining like using ideas
that are near from the point to be learned. Moreover, they could
clarify things by citing examples from the real life or even by
giving students a simple summary of the topic which would make
it easier for them to absorb ideas in the mind.
Moving from the level of summarizing and main points to another
higher level of information in depth would make students
gradually prepared to have more in mind, achieve a tangible
progress in their learning ,and gain a great experience of the
knowledge they should have.
To give students hard information from the very beginning would
lead to nothing but building barriers between them and the
subject they learn as they do not have the preparation required to
gain more information. Upon feeling that difficulty in learning the
subject, students would be lazy and are not willing to study it as
they are not able to do more. They would totally leave it and
abandon the task due to teachers' adapting bad and ineffective
teaching techniques.
