THE GMRENCEN IS DETROIT’S FAVORITE LANDMARK. And here’s the man
who built it - in miniature! Derek Chock spent 296 hours and used 50,172 Legos
to create this six-foot tall version of the GMRENCEN. By public vote, the iconic
symbol was named top Detroit landmark, representing Michigan’s industry,
culture, and spirit of innovation. The model will be displayed at the Legoland
Discovery Center Michigan this spring in Auburn Hills. That’s no small feat!
