2. Project 1: Voyager-Travel-Scrum Teams - SITA DCS
Client: SITA INC UK Ltd.

Duration: – Jan 2012- June 2012
Technology / Tools used: Eclipse IDE, JAVA, Swings, OSGI.
Synopsis: SITA is the world's leading specialist in air transport communications and information technology (IT). We
work closely with every sector of the air transport community, innovating, developing and managing business solutions
over the world's most extensive network - one that forms the "communication backbone" of the global air transport
industry.
Departure Control System(DCS) entails the automation of all processes related to an Airlines' Airport
management operations. Voyager-Travel domain involves various web-services such as Baggage Details, Weight Profile
details, Standby Priority.
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Working in Agile (SCRUM) and work closely with product owners and development team at all stages to
ensure good quality engineering delivery.
 Was involved in various phases of software lifecycle: Planning, Design & Development
 Was involved in client side development on swings.
 Was responsible for UI screen integrating with Service.

 Was involved in developing various WebServices such as Onloading and offloading a passenger.
 Effort estimation of requirements, staffing plan and scoping of work.
 Early call out of assumptions, dependencies, risks, mitigation plan.

Project 3: Mappy – SITA DCS

Synopsis: Mappy involved parsing of various messages which was later used be airline domain to send messages across
the stations. The PSCRM used as a reference to parse messages which is used globally by all airline carriers. Following are
the message that I had worked on: SOM(Seat Occupied Messages), BTM (Baggage Transfer Messages)
Roles and Responsibilities:
 Actively involved in client calls for analyzing different message and the upcoming features.
 Hands on experience in parsing messages using various JAVA APIS and Mappy tool.

Synopsis: Voyager-Messaging Domain involves development of various TypeB, TypeX & TypeA messages that are
Sent/ Received at the airports. These messages are generated at the airport which are used as a predominant
communication mechanism for data exchange.

 Actively involved in design and development of scope items, and tracking the various aspects in team for
which we as a team won the TEAM SPOT award twice.
 Was involved in development of various Inbound & Outbound messages.
 Was involved in development of IATCI(Inter airline Through Check in) messages.
 Was involved in creating and configuring JMS to Read/ Drop the messages in the Queue.
