two companies, Kaslen Textiles and New Point Fabric, both based in
Vernon, California. When not working, David Raminfard serves his
community as a member of the Nessah Cultural and Educational Center
(NCEC), which he has been actively supported for over 30 years by
regularly attending their board meetings and also making generous
donations regularly.
Nessah Synagogue was founded by the Iranian Jews of Los Angeles area
and Rabbi David Shofet, and currently holds three separate Shabbat
services and is the home of several groups, such as the Young
Professionals (NIYP), LeDor VaDor, and the Nessah Lecture committee.
NCEC’S LeDor VaDor group connects young leaders of the Sephardic
Jewish community and promotes philanthropy, activism, and Zionism.
This group aims to connect young Iranian Jewish people to their roots
and as a community by offering an annual party, hosting a luncheon
where holocaust survivors can share their own stories, having lectures
with world leaders and rabbis, and more.
