It is my pleasure to provide this reference for David Amstutz. David completed an
internship in the IUPUI Athletics Advising Office during the spring 2015 semester. Our
office provides academic advising and support to 275 IUPUI student-athletes.
David handled a number of responsibilities including assisting with monitoring of study
tables, developing a student-athlete orientation handbook and various administrative
duties. David was exceptionally dependable during his internship with us which was
remarkable considering he drove over an hour to get to campus. He could be relied on
to complete any responsibility and was very affable in all his interactions with staff and
student-athletes. He showed maturity beyond his years and was always willing to take
on any responsibility. David was a very valuable asset to our program during his time
here.
If I had the opportunity to hire David for my staff, I would do so without hesitation and
recommend him highly.
