Career goals
Developing and driving strategic goals through transformational leadership that delivers sustainable
cultural change. I am known for using my extensive leadership and management skills to make a difference
wherever I go. Currently looking for my next challenge to continue an impressive record of shaping and
driving strategy within challenging multi-role organisations.
Achievements
Developed and delivered the strategy that drove the establishment of a new company into a challenging
market in the UK achieving £1M+ revenue year on year, exceeding customer expectations of time, cost and
quality.
Established a deployed Lean capability that delivered the strategy to drive improvement in service delivery
and develop a customer driven culture across UK Retail in a global bank.
Exhibited outstanding project management skills in organising a multi-national, diverse and dislocated
group to deliver the strategic planning for a key international project in Afghanistan.
Developed UK military policy and strategy on Cyber and Space operations to ensure alignment with allied
nations.
Recent Roles:
European Director, Check-6
2014 to present
• Develop and deliver strategy to increase business, primarily in the oil and gas industry, latterly into
other verticals, across Europe.
• Deliver Check-6 services, as agreed upon with the clients, on time and in line with Check-6’s quality
standards, and to develop long-term, deep relationships with those clients.
• Coordinate all activities related to a specific project and proposals; manage resources involved and
ensure project stays on time and is within budget.
I expanded business from one to 10 contracts worth over $1M annually, building a robust client base despite
the downturn in the market. I managed and delivered all these contracts across diverse locations that
exceeded customer’s expectations of time, cost and quality. (£50M savings to date with 4 year project
completing 8 months ahead of plan.) Currently working on opening up Portuguese and Spanish markets.
Programme Manager, Operations, Lloyds Banking Group
2013 to 2014
• Set up governance and reporting structure for a service improvement programme covering 6 different
business units across 19 sites.
• Coach and develop senior managers in project and performance management
• Develop and deliver a communication strategy to ensured programme stakeholders across the Group
were kept appropriately informed.
Assessed current situation of project management, identified it was not fit for purpose, developed a strategy
to support the introduction of smart operations that streamlined the process and reduced resource cost. I
planned and began the rollout of the service improvement programme that touched 30 000 colleagues
across the Group, building a high performing team that delivered all their objectives and supported wider
needs of other teams. Senior managers provided extremely positive feedback on the coaching received.
Programme Director, Royal Bank of Scotland Group
