Objective:
To obtain an entry level electrical engineering position
Graduate Studies: University of Nebraska Lincoln
Master of Science – Electrical Engineering: Optics and Semiconductor Materials
University of Nebraska Lincoln
Graduate GPA – 3.54
Undergraduate: University of Nebraska Lincoln
Bachelor of Science – Electrical Engineering
Minor – Physics
Undergraduate GPA – 3.4
Work Experience:
Graduate ResearchAssistant in a thin film laboratory: May 2014 – Present
I create material samples via sputtering and atomic layer deposition, then analyze
the samples with electron microscopy or spectrometry. I built a
photoluminescence system for my thesis and my current research uses that system
to measure optical properties of the material samples we create. I also manage
undergraduate students that work under me in our lab.
Electrical Engineering Intern at Bes-Tech: Summer 2013
My main project was to program their savings calculator in Excel. I took raw data
and made it interesting and useful for customers. I also built HVAC components
from schematics and diagnosed and debugged electrical systems.
Automation Engineering Intern at Vishay Intertechnology: Summer 2012
The project that I was in charge of was programming an oven monitoring control
system in Visual Basic. It had to control the system to ramp temperature up, stay
there for a certain amount of time, and ramp down all while taking data and
storing it to the server. I was able to see the project through from start to finish.
Employee at Subway April 2008 – August 2009
I was also the shift supervisor, responsible for overseeing other workers and
closing the store at night. I was also responsible for training four employees.
Volunteer Activities:
Teacher in the Alpha Omega Bible Study – 2009-2016
Leader in AWANA – Fall 2005 – Spring 2008
Taught Sunday School and VBS – Summer 2010
