2. Story Synopsis:
After getting lost in the jungle while playing,
Zoraida finds out the stories her mom told her in
order to keep her away from the jungle are true. With
the help of one of the forest spirits, Zoraida must
find her way home by navigating the jungle and stay
clear of the spirits who wish to harm her.
Genre: Action/Mystery
Audience: Middle School and up

3. The World:
El Salvador, much like all of Latin America, has
plenty of superstitions and folklore which are
often told to make children behave, but they
might be more grounded in reality than
initially thought.
4. Zoraida
Zoraida is a curious,
stubborn, 13 year-old girl.
She loves playing in the
jungle in her backyard to
find and collect different
bugs. she is reckless and can
get easily distracted which
gets her in trouble a lot.
5. The Cadejos
The Cadejos are two wolves of
Salvadoran legend, both representing
good and evil. The white Cadejo is
believed to have been made by God to be
a guardian of humanity, while the
black Cadejo was created by the Devil
out of jealousy to combat its white
counterpart and corrupt humanity.
6. Side Characters
El Cipitio: A trickster
goblin boy.
La Llorona: The spirit of a crying
mother who drifts along the river. La Cuyancuat: A giant, territorial,
boar-headed serpent
7. Episode 1: Zoraida refuses to listen to her mom’s warning and goes out to play in the backyard. As she plays she goes
deeper into the jungle until she gets lost in the and as night falls she realizes that the spirits her mom told her
about are real. After trying and failing to find her way home the white cadejo finds her and offers her help by
providing shelter and supplies. The black cadejo confronts the white cadejo demanding them to reveal where
zoraida is hiding. The white cadejo isn’t convinced so the black cadejo slinks back into the night.
8. Episode 2
the morning after the black cadejo’s threat, Zoraida
and the white cadejo had a new problem as their
supplies Are stolen by the mischievous Cipitio.
Zoraida agrees to Steal a mango from the
cuyancuat’s territory to get her supplies back, but
things don’t go as planned.
9. Episode 3
Zoraida is woken up by a shrill wail in the middle of the night. She
approaches and sees a figure shrouded in fog, and before she knows it
she is snatched by la llorona. Can the white cadejo get her back?
