A highly capable, goal oriented Nuclear Electronics Technician with 8
years of supervisory experience in the training, operation,
maintenance, and testing of Naval Nuclear Power Plants. 
 
EDUCATION
Electronics Maintenance Technician School—Nov. 2011­ Dec.2011 
This course provides maximum hands-on training accomplished
within a six week period. Approximately three weeks are provided for
soldering and desoldering techniques for all types of electrical
connections in accordance with the applicable MIL-STDs, installing
nuclear instrument connectors, and using various pieces of test
equipment. An additional three weeks are provided for developing
the student's troubleshooting techniques by troubleshooting and
repairing actual faults to a component level including the use of
technical manuals, test equipment, electrical schematics and basic
electronic circuits. Equipment used during the troubleshooting phase
includes Primary Plant Instrumentation, Nuclear Instrumentation,
Rod Control, and Steam Generator Water Level Control systems.
 
Nuclear Power Training Unit (Multiple Application Reactor Facility)—2008­2009 
14 month hands on operational training on a pressurized water
reactor onboard a decommissioned nuclear submarine.
 
Naval Nuclear Power Training Command—2007­2008 
12 month classroom based school consisting of electrical, mechanical,
and reactor theory, circuit troubleshooting, heat transfer and fluid
flow, and radiation principles.
 
 
EXPERIENCE 
Assistant Plant Reactor Control Division Leading Petty Officer  
Moored Training Ship 635 — Dec. 2013­Present 
Schedules and coordinates maintenance as well as executing the
maintenance plan including preparing formal work packages and
ensuring proper record documentation and retention. Directly
responsible for the maintenance and operation of the Reactor
Instrumentation and Control equipment onboard the MTS-635.
Maintains equipment material history, maintenance records, and
paperwork for OQE of safe reactor operations.
Nuclear Instructor— Dec. 2013­Present 
Responsible for the training and qualification of all nuclear enlisted,
officer, and Bettis Atomic Laboratory personnel on an operational
S5W nuclear power plant. Trained and qualified personnel on proper
techniques for troubleshooting, operating, and performing
maintenance on reactor protection systems and associated
equipment.
Preventative Maintenance Scheduler Petty Officer SSN 723 — Jul. 2010­May 
2013 
Scheduled, coordinated, and assigned maintenance as well as
supervised the execution of the maintenance plan including preparing
formal work packages and ensuring proper record documentation
and retention.
Nuclear Reactor Operator SSN 723 — Dec. 2009­Present 
Responsible for the safe operations of a nuclear reactor as well as to
review and analyze changes in plant parameters and respond to
incidents.
Electronics Technician— Dec. 2007­Present 
Responsible for installation, troubleshooting, maintenance, and repair
of electrical and electronic assemblies and systems.
 
 
SKILLS 
-Trained in combating fires, flooding, and other shipboard casualties.
-Supervised/Executed numerous preventative and corrective
maintenance items.
