Role ALDSP and SONIC ESB services Developer
Description:
EPAD project is to identify ways to prevent errors in the Ratings release process. The IT team is responsible
for identifying changes in workflow and improvement in data quality to prevent errors. Ratings Process
Management (RPM) is the primary application that is currently used to release Ratings. The Ratings are
stored in the CORE system. Core system also has the reference data for the rated issuer and issues for
both CGS and SF. The data in Core is not up-to-date and contains many errors. CMP get frequent updates
through market feeds and hence contains the latest information about Organizations and Instruments. The
goal of EPAD project is to Synch up the reference data domain values(CountryCode,
CURRENCY_TYPE_CDOES, COUPON_INDEX_TYPE, FUND_TYPE_CDOES,
DEPARTMENTAL_GROUPS, ISSUE_TYPE_CDOES, ORG_TYPE_CODES, RELATION_TYPE_CODES
etc ) among the CORE, CMP and RPM systems to minimize the errors while doing the ratings release
process.
Responsibilities:
• Design the Service required documents.
• Customization of existing webservices and creation of new webservices.
• Customization of existing SONIC ESB services and creation of new SONIC ESB services.
• Responsible for production support issues.
• Preparation of mapping document among DB – Canonical.

The present requirement is to replace the process, how the CORE Data is moved and updated in the
CreditPro database. The existing CAT Download process and data update process will be replaced. The
new process is named as DRILL – Default Recovery Issuer Level Load.
Responsibilities:
• As Onsite Coordinator Gather requirements from the Client Business people and prepare the
StoryBoard accordingly.
• Preparation of GAP analysis document between existing webservices and requirements.
• Creation and updation of Enterprise Canonical.
• Meetings with S&P business people to get exact requirement and same Coordinate with
Offshore team.

credit ratings, indices, investment research, risk evaluation and data, Standard & Poor’s provides financial
decision-makers with the intelligence they need to feel confident about their decisions.
S&P initiated a project to understand possible technologies and frameworks to address its data federation
needs. S&P started data federation through a Data Virtualization Layer (DVL). DVL provides simplified, real-
time, concise views of enterprise data, hiding the complexities of disparate backend applications and data
stores. DVL appears to the information consumers as a virtual database that contains exactly the view of the
information needed by the application. Also S&P has many applications and each application should
communicate with other applications only through Enterprise Service Bus. Each application should
communicate with other using Enterprise Canonicals formats. Data Virtualization project aims to provide a
standard canonical format so that there is a consistency in communication.

RPM is the ratings process management system that comprises of different systems to capture the data
related to the ratings process and initiate to release. This system is the heart of the S&P ratings business
and will be implemented to compliment the RPM ratings repository.

Project Scope / Objective:
The Money Transfer New Architecture (MTNA) address the need for a multi-tiered component-based
architecture with reusable software components to support a Global operating model for the processing of
high value payments. This module is being designed to support multi-currency, multi-location, and multi-
entity as well as ensuring business for Germany, the United States and the United Kingdom for the potential
payment requirements.
There will be a planned migration phase from the existing IGF(Mainframe) system to the new
FHU(J2EE/UNIX)system. During the migration phase, the files will be processed through the IGF and/or the
FHU based on the ‘Throttling conditions’.
The following processes implemented in new workflow are:
File and Transaction acceptance checks (CG), Access Global Modules for validations and Program control
(CG), Applying Throttling Conditions (CG)*, FTP & Resend functionality (CG)*, Manual opening checks and
Manual entry screens (FHU), Interface to new external systems–EU-CINQ, CBS, MTNA (FHU), Generate
appropriate reports (CG & FHU), Split the file into single transactions (FHU), Populate MTNA-API (FHU)*,
House-keeping Functionality (FHU).
Responsibilities:
• Involved in understanding the specification and requirements analysis.
• Involved development and and deployment the weekly build releases and updating the status to
clients.
• I have extensive and in-depth knowledge of the whole framework.

The IT team is responsible for identifying changes in workflow and improvement in data quality to prevent errors. Ratings Process Management (RPM) is the primary application that is currently used to release Ratings. The Ratings are stored in the CORE system. Core system also has the reference data for the rated issuer and issues for both CGS and SF. The data in Core is not up-to-date and contains many errors. CMP get frequent updates through market feeds and hence contains the latest information about Organizations and Instruments. The goal of EPAD project is to Synch up the reference data domain values(CountryCode, CURRENCY_TYPE_CDOES, COUPON_INDEX_TYPE, FUND_TYPE_CDOES, DEPARTMENTAL_GROUPS, ISSUE_TYPE_CDOES, ORG_TYPE_CODES, RELATION_TYPE_CODES etc ) among the CORE, CMP and RPM systems to minimize the errors while doing the ratings release process. S&P initiated a project to understand possible technologies and frameworks to address its data federation needs. S&P started data federation through a Data Virtualization Layer (DVL). DVL provides simplified, real- time, concise views of enterprise data, hiding the complexities of disparate backend applications and data stores. DVL appears to the information consumers as a virtual database that contains exactly the view of the information needed by the application. Also S&P has many applications and each application should communicate with other applications only through Enterprise Service Bus. Each application should communicate with other using Enterprise Canonicals formats.
