2. Why is 4-H Robotics working?
• It is fun and engaging learning for youth
and adults
• Each of our counties has supported 4-H
Robotics programming and it continues to
grow
• It is bringing new youth into the 4-H
Learning Process that may not have
considered 4-H as an option

3. To help the 4-H Robotics
Program Grow….
• Holding day camps during the summer
allows youth to interact with 4-H Robotics
and they are likely to want to continue the
learning process
• They are also learning
teamwork, communication, citizenship and
problem solving as a part of the learning
process about robots

• 3 Years of 5-Day Day Camp in Harrison
County—20-25 youth per year
• 2 Years of 3-Day Successful Daycamp in
Mills County—20-22 youth per year

County
• 8 FLL Teams in Harrison County
• 3 Teams in Mills County

• Position was shared between three
counties to do GEAR-TECH-21 Camp
programming And Vet Science
• Three other counties contracted to have
position provide a 3 day camp
• This year, they are looking at sharing the
postion between the six counties in the
region as it was a successful model

• Bachelors Degree in Education, Biological
or Physical Sciences or related education
field or undergraduate internship position
• Evidence for successful working with
youth
• Valid Drivers license and reliable vehicle
• Able to work some evenings and
weekends
