After serving as a health care executive in Louisville, Kentucky, for many years, Curtis Warfield moved to Nashville, Tennessee, to become the chief financial officer of HCA Managed Care Division (SPA) before taking the reins at Windham Advisors, LLC, as its president. A graduate of the University of Louisville, Curtis Warfield is also a longtime supporter of the American Diabetes Association (ADA).

2. Introduction
• After serving as a health care executive in Louisville,
Kentucky, for many years, Curtis Warfield moved to Nashville,
Tennessee, to become the chief financial officer of HCA
Managed Care Division (SPA) before taking the reins at
Windham Advisors, LLC, as its president. A graduate of the
University of Louisville, Curtis Warfield is also a longtime
supporter of the American Diabetes Association (ADA).
The ADA recently launched MakeInsulinAffordable.org as
part of its continued effort to advocate for insulin
affordability. In late 2016, the ADA rolled out its Stand Up for
Affordable Insulin Initiative, which will work to raise
awareness and lobby for new programs and policies to
increase access to the drug.

3. American Diabetes Association
• The new website includes testimonials from
those whose lives has been positively impacted
by insulin, information about how the drug is
increasing in price, research about the drug’s
impact, and a petition lobbying stakeholders to
make it more affordable. Since the site launched
in November, more than 150,000 individuals
have added their names to the petition, which
calls for lawmakers to act with urgency to
improve the drug’s affordability.
