2. The amazing nature of Seychelles
invariably fosters creativity. Despite the
small area on the Mahe and Praslin,
talented artists and sculptors live and
create.
Many of them have their own galleries
and they invite guests to get acquainted
with their work. So look around - the
gallery pointer might be around the
corner.

3. Tom Bowers
Tom Bowers is a sculptor. His works
are made of bronze and are usually
female torsos, figures associated with
local life, and turtles.
His sculptures are scattered around the
world by private collectors. You can get
to know him and his work in the studio
at Anse a la Mouche.

4. Michael Adams
Michael Adams is Seychelles's most
famous artist. He paints with
watercolors and prints on silk-screen
printing.
Usually these are images of nature
and people, sea landscapes with the
general idea of the Garden of Eden.
A permanent exhibition of his work is
on Frigate Island. And Anse aux
Poules Bleues Gallery is open to
visitors. Here you can buy postcards
and calendars based on his paintings.

5. Egbert Marday
Egbert Magdey is a famous artist and
sculptor. It works equally well with
different materials: acrylic, coal, resin,
sand, metal.
Works can be both figurative and
abstract. Usually he is inspired by the
everyday life of people: their work,
emotions and joy.
His gallery is in La Misere, Mahe.

6. Nigel Henry
Nigel Henry has a bright, memorable
style. He paints acrylic works of local
landscapes and scenes of life in bold
colors.
His paintings can be seen on Beau
Vallon and in the arrivals hall of the
Seychelles International Airport.

7. Barbara Jenson
Barbara Jenson works in the technique
of acrylic and watercolor on canvas and
paper, draws on aluminum plates, as
well as pencil and charcoal.
These motifs originate from the African
heritage of Seychelles. Works exhibited
in a small gallery Anse Source d'Argent.

8. Andrew Gee
Andrew Gee has been living in the
Seychelles since 1993. Here he began as a
teacher of fashion and textile. Now he is a
fairly well-known watercolorist.
The subjects of his paintings are beaches,
old houses, scenes from the life of fish,
flowers and a jungle on silk. His textiles
are also available at the Maison Soleil
Gallery, at Baie Lazare, Mahé.

9. Sheila Markham
The artist’s gallery is located in a
building on the oceanfront Baie Sainte
Anne, on the main road to Cote d'Or.
Here you can see her acrylic works and
prints, as well as postcards, collages and
sculptures from cardboard boxes.
Usually in the center of her works are
calm images of the Seychelles. Inside
the gallery, guests can also enjoy coffee.

George Camille is an artist whose works
cover a wide range of themes, genres
and materials used. He draws on
canvas, makes copper reliefs, collages.
His paintings depict scenes of
Seychelles life.
He has 4 personal galleries, and a
permanent exhibition of works takes
place at the Fregate Island Gallery. He
is also the author of the cover of the
guide "Seychelles in your pocket“.
