transportation in Louisiana
80% of New Orleans was underwater
2. Over 10 hospitals where affected by flooding. At two
of those hospitals, over 50 bodies were recovered
11 of which had died before the storm.

Items Needed: Find a place to clamp
your light
A constant battle with unwanted
light and objects
Design a backpack made especially for art students,
professionals, and adventurists. While also catering to
the needs of an art student, it must simplify and
decrease the number of items needed to give you a
professional grade photo.

12. You Snooze,
You Lose.
What makes
Snoozing bad?
Snoozing fragments what little extra
sleep you’re getting. Stopping and starting
new sleep cycles messes with your brain`s
hormones. This all can result in slower
decision-making abilities, impaired memory,
and will also make you groggier throughout
the day.

Procrastination is life’s
snooze button.
Did You Know?
56% of American take showers in the
morning showers stimulate the body
to produce more white blood cells
Studies have shown that using light is
a great way to have a subtle, pleasant
wake up and lowers stress levels
Performing an activity in the morning
stimulates the brain

your alarm makes you
active and less likely to
snooze.

16. Power Grip
Precision Grip
Most power is generated by
muscles in the forearm
Our wrist is the bridge which stabilizes
the interaction of the hand & forearm
Each finger is powered by a completely
separate system of muscles and tendons
Ergonomics
17. Design a saw handle that allows for
comfort, power, and no pressure point.
The user should be able to properly hold
the saw without being told how.
Proper way to Hold
Place the saw’s central teeth on
the line to be cut and in the center
of the saw blade. Push the saw in
a short stroke to start the cut.
Angle your saw correctly to get the
best cut. The proper angle is 45 to
60 degrees between the saw and
cutting object.
Remember that your main key in
removing material is your back
stroke.

20. Cons
• Overweight
• Front handle is unusable throws precision off
• No safe placement for front hand
• Rear handle is not ergonomic for the user
Pros
• Length helps with leverage
• Power/Torque
Cons
• Too bulky can`t fit inbetween studs
• Front handle makes the drill path at an angle on low cuts
Pros
• Very balanced
• Proper rear handle ergonomics
Design Goals
Design a high-powered right angle drill for the user with better
ergonomic in the front and rear handles. While also trying to
apply better weight distribution and leverage.
