RE: Apprentice Lineman Job
Your safe work environment and integrity is exactly what I am looking for in a company. Having
reviewed the job posting and learning more about (Job), I would consider it a great opportunity to be
given a chance to fill your Apprentice Lineman position and work my way through your
apprenticeship program. I believe that my work experience, education, attitude, and desire to work for
(Job) make me an ideal candidate in the following ways:
Skills: I am able to operate all line equipment. Proficient Climber. I work well in a team
environment as well being able to take orders and criticism very well. I ask for the opportunity
to show all my crew members my respect and hardworking attitude and ability.
Safety: I strive to place myself and my crew in the safest spots and work environments at all
times. I believe that safety is the number one priority on any job and do my best to help
implement that through any crew I have ever been on. I am certified in First Aid/ CPR and
have taken OSHA 10 hour class. I am also certified in Aerial Lift Rescue, Pole Top Rescue and
Confined Space Rescue in case I need to act upon any situation that arises.
Knowledge: I am very determined and hardworking individual and have nearly 1000 hours in
the construction on a 345kV line. I also took classes at Northwest Lineman College in Electrical
Systems, Rigging, Transformers, Personal Protective Grounding and learned how proficiently
climb and basics of hands on distribution work. At Brink Constructors I also took a Bonding
and Grounding class.
I am committed to safety honesty and integrity. I will show up every day with a positive can do
attitude. I am able to climb poles at any height put in front of me, lift tools and equipment of well over
100 pounds, work in all weather conditions at any time of the day or night, work with any type of
Personal Protective Equipment and perform any of the duties listed on your job opening notice. It
would be an honor and a privilege to work for (Job).
