Objective: To obtain full time permanent employment in the field of engineering, engineering
physics or research and development improving current or new technologies, and experimental
science. Specific areas of interest and capabilities include: component design, system engineering,
systems integration, test engineering and systems safety engineering.
Employment
August 2015 – Present • Aerospace Engineer: Range Safety Engineering, National Air and Space Administration
(NASA) Kennedy Space Center FL • Range safety policy and planning, development of procedures, plans and
documentation pertaining to the Kennedy Space Center commercial launch capability • develop and maintain
cooperative agreements and rapport with the Air Force 45th Space Wing, as well as the Federal Aviation
Administration, and commercial space industry leaders to support the development of a "Multi-User Spaceport"
capability at Kennedy Space Center • Evaluation and operation of current state of the art range safety analysis and
modeling tools • Member of the KSC range safety launch team supporting real time range safety decision making by
evaluating data from multiple sources and ensuring all range safety requirements are being met. In the event of a
requirement(s) violation, I support the waiver or equivalent level of safety decision making process by assisting in data
evaluation and interpretation. I work closely with center, program, and industry leaders and provide accurate
characterization of technical data to risk acceptors and decision makers. Further I am often tasked with briefing highly
technical data and information to the highest levels of center, FAA, and commercial management for evaluation and
decision making.
November 2013 – August 2015 • General Engineer: System Safety Engineering, ManTech International Corporation
SMASS-II Contract NASA Kennedy Space Center FL • Provide oversight on subsystem design and development to
assure various Program requirements are being met through meeting conduction and attendance • Review and comment
on documentation • Input and coordinate division actions to enable seamless employment of the individual program
elements to ensure projects are implemented in accordance with approved production schedules • monitor program
progress, document milestone accomplishments and briefings to our NASA customer • Continue to expand the contracts
footprint within the NASA community by joining the Safety and Health (S&H) committee as well as develop and
forward weekly inputs for possible inclusion into weekly and monthly reports for contractor personnel and NASA
program reporting
August 2011 – November 2013 • Graduate Teaching Assistant, Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, Daytona
Beach FL • Prepare, instruct and grade undergraduate physics and engineering laboratory classes • Assure and maintain
proper equipment readiness including instrumentation and demonstrations • Process curriculum documentation and
contribute to continuous laboratory and curriculum improvement
August 2010 – May 2011 • Physics, Math, and Chemistry Tutor, SUNY Fredonia College Tutoring Services, Fredonia
NY • Instructed and supported supplemental instruction sessions in physics, mathematics, and chemistry courses
including group and individual tutoring • Prepared monthly reports on students’ progress and the dynamics of
instruction • Contributed to the continual improvement of the center as well as the techniques of instruction and trainin
July 2010 – May 2011 • Research Intern, SUNY Fredonia Research Foundation, Fredonia NY • Designed, built,
maintained, and improved high angular momentum Rydberg spectroscopy experiment and equipment including
vacuum systems, class IV CO2 laser systems, high voltage AC and DC systems, and electronic data acquisition systems
• Redesigned and coded user interface and data acquisition and analysis programs using LabVIEW
