o Generated policy memos for spending federal stimulus energy efficiency funds (EECBG), broadening
residential solar resources on city’s website, best practices regarding increasing adoption of electric vehicles.
o Tracked progress of City of Walnut Creek's Climate Action Plan performance indicators via an Excel tool.
o Expanded community outreach for City of Walnut Creek's climate initiatives via monthly newsletters, website
updates, and social media platforms. Developed outreach plan for Sunshares, a group solar and EV purchase
program, for the Walnut Creek community. Managed logistics for public workshops held at City Hall.
o Supported launch of MCE's Community Choice Energy Program in Walnut Creek through 6 public workshops
and partnering with 15+ neighborhood groups, non-profits and business associations to spread the word.

equip volunteers with program collateral and basic Salesforce training.

FEMA Cooperating Technical Partners Project | Association of Bay Area Governments, Resilience Program
o Spearheaded the formation of a Bay Area inventory of cities’ resilience efforts. Used the Rockefeller
Foundation’s Resilient Framework for guidance. Inventory includes disaster resilience projects, ordinances, and
funding revenues, and is intended to enhance intra-regional knowledge-sharing.
o Interviewed Chief Resilience Officers and other city staff to refine inventory research methodology.
Senior Thesis – “Remote Sensing in Suisun Bay Marsh: Vegetation Classification and LAI Prediction”: developed
reliable classification algorithms to monitor and distinguish invasive Salsola soda from native Sarcocornia pacifica
o Generated maps for spatial analysis in ArcGIS and used eCognition Developer for aerial image analysis.
o Collected GPS points, LAI data, and plant data on Suisun Marsh site.
