Ladies vs Ricky Bahl, a romantic comedy produced by
Aditya Chopra and directed by Maneesh Sharma. The
movie has been declared as a super hit and Anushka
Sharma, Parineeti Chopra played the female leads in
the movie. Then came Lootera, a periodic romance,
written and directed by Vikramaditya Motwane,
and co-starring Sonakshi Sinha. The movie has been
a smash hit and is the most critically acclaimed film
of 2013. He has been then roped in to play the main
lead in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s periodic romance Ram
Leela along with Deepika Padukone and the movie
has been an adaptation of William Shakespeare’s
Romeo and Juliet, Ranveer and Deepika have
received exceptional response for their performance
in the movie.
After scoring back to back hits, Ranveer starred
as a Bengali criminal in Ali Abbas Zafar’s Gunday,
alongside Arjun Kapoor, Priyanka Chopra andIrrfan
Khan.Gunday emerged as the biggest commercial hit
of Ranveer and the movie opened to packed houses
all over. He has been alleged to be in relation with
Deepika Padukone during Ram Leela and there have
been lot of speculations about their love story. The
duo have been spotted in various locations but they
remained tight lipped about their relation during the
media interactions. He has been seen in a cameo in
Deepika and Arjun Kapoor starrer Finding Fanny in
the direction of Homi Adajania.
RANVEER SINGH is the name that
has created ripples among the youth in the current
generationofBollywood.Aftercompletingabachelor’s
degree from Indiana University, Bloomington, Singh
returnedtoIndiatopursueacareerinfilm.In2010,he
successfully auditioned for a leading role in Yash Raj
Films’ romantic comedyBand Baaja Baaraat. The film
emerged as a critical and commercial success, earning
Singh a Filmfare Award in the Best Male Debut
category. He knew that getting a break in Bollywood
is not that easy however he has been confident about
his success as he had belief in himself.
Though Ranveer struggled during his initial days of
his career, it did not take much time to prove his skills
and receive wide applause from the movie lovers. This
energetic actor has scored back to back hits during his
crucial days in his career which made him one of the
leadingactorsintheyoungergenerationofBollywood.
Before making his entry as an actor, Ranveer worked
as an assistant director, but left it to pursue acting. He
decided to send his portfolio to directors. He would
go for all kinds of auditions, but did not get any good
opportunities, while only getting calls for minor roles:
“Everything was so bleak. It was very frustrating.
There were times I would think whether I was doing
the right thing or not” revealed Ranveer.
