OBJECTIVE
To obtain a full time position or internship in a computer software or hardware engineering environment
EDUCATION
Bachelor of Science in Computer Engineering, University of South Florida - Tampa, FL Expected 12/15
Relevant courses:
Hardware: Software: In Progress:
Robotics Operating Systems CS Senior Project
Computer System Design Object Oriented Design Algorithms
Low Power CMOS VLSI Design Data Structures Ethics for Engineers
Computer Architecture Microprocessor Interfacing
SKILLS
Languages:HTML, CSS, Javascript, ASP.NET (Sharepoint), C/C++ (Visual Studio), C#, Java, Python, SQL, Batch Scripts
Hardware:Logisim, VHDL, Verilog, Cadence Virtuoso, Hspice, LTspice, Autodesk Inventor, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, Assembly
RELEVANT PROJECTS
● (In Progress) Developing a robot that can be controlled by brain waves using a commercially available 08/15 - present
Electroencephalography (EEG) device. The secondary objective is to create a tool that can assist in the treatment
of Attention Deficit Disorder and teach a user the proper methods for focusing.
● (Internship) Single-handedly created a catalog of frequently requested reports in Microsoft Sharepoint; 05/15 - 08/15
Designed a custom reusable web app that uses a combination of Javascript, ASP.NET, HTML, and inline
CSS to achieve an auto-updating “key what you know” search function for the catalog.
● Independently engineered a desktop sized emotionally responsive robot with expressive LED eyes and 01/15 - 05/15
servo-powered eyebrows. Uses bluetooth and a custom app I wrote as a controller. 3D printed parts
designed in Inventor.
● Worked with partner to interface with a Nao robot using python and the “Naopy” API. Calculated complex 01/15 - 05/15
forward and inverse kinematics for each of the robot’s joints, created a look-up table of joint angles
needed to perform fighting moves and programmed the robot to choose moves to perform in succession.
● Spearheaded a group with two partners to design the transistor-level layout of an Application Specific 10/14 - 12/14
Integrated Circuit (ASIC) in Cadence Virtuoso that could be interfaced with off-the-shelf components to
build a digital thermometer. (See the thumbnail at the top of the page)
EXPERIENCE
MAKE Course Teaching Assistant, University of South Florida, Tampa, FL 08/15 - present
● Used knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and computer systems to help over 50 students invent their own
moving Arduino controlled device
● Assisted Dr. Rudy Schlaf with grading student assignments and projects
Technology Solutions Internship, GTE Financial, Tampa, FL 05/15 - 08/15
● Lead presentations to the executive board and the CEO of a multi-billion dollar company
● Formulated an innovative mobile banking strategy and designed the mock-up for the future
GTE mobile app
Guest Services, Global Spectrum, USF Sundome, Tampa, FL 01/14 - 05/15
● Greeted guests and maintained a friendly, warm atmosphere
● Assisted customers and made their experience more enjoyable
Lifeguard, Seaworld Parks and Entertainment, Tampa, FL 05/12 - 09/13
● Cooperated with a team to ensure guest safety
● Learned the importance of strictly adhering to rules and standards of procedure
