· Currently designing and developing an unmanned aircraft cable of vertical takeoff and landing.
· Utilize FMECA/FMEA and SLAT Safety standards to ensure a safe aircraft
· Co-designed the wing surfaces and sized the tail sections
· Co-led a material properties test to determine the intensive properties that allowed for improved ANSYS
simulations
Linearilized Pendulum Project Fall 2014
MAE 435 Principles of Automatic Control, Team Lead Raleigh, NC
· Presented with a nonlinear pendulum and was tasked with designing a control systems at a specific angular
position
· Led a group of students to design a lead/lag compensator to achieve the desired parameters
Wing Box Analysis Spring 2014
MAE 472, Aerospace Structure 2 Raleigh, NC
· Worked in a group to analyze composite properties through MATLAB in various composite layups
· Co-designed a wing box for an aircraft in order to learn how use the finite element analysis method
· Collaborated with team members when analyzing the wing box using FEA software, ANSYS to ensure that
our design was safe
Informational Kiosk Fall 2008
Eagle Scout Project Durham, NC
· Led a group of scouts to build a kiosk for the Mountain-to-Sea Trail
· Kiosk is being used to display helpful information that could be useful to hikers
· Supported by two 18ft posts, the kiosk is placed 6ft into the ground to maintain stability.
