1. Profile
Christine M. Kerber is a member of the International Dance Counsel, an organization recognized by United
Nations Educational, Scientific, and Cultural Organization (UNESCO) as a non-governmental umbrella
organization representing all forms of dance in the international dance scene.
Christine was a creator, director and choreographer with Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines (RCCL) and
Azamara Club Cruises for eighteen years having the privilege of being part of the industry’s leading
entertainment team. RCCL and Azamara have both been awarded on numerous occasions for their
outstanding and diverse entertainment product. Christine’s tenure with RCCL and Azamara has provided
her a broad range of problem solving skills, communication skills; and keen artistic insight. These skills have
earned her a reputation for being an accomplished director and manager.
In her youth, Christine spent a majority of her time as a state placed competitive gymnast competing in all
four events; and as repertoire dancer, performing with several civic companies in Columbus, Ohio. She was a
NationalYoungArts Foundation Awardee in 1987 in dance and was recognized in the Who’s Who Among
High School Students in 1987.
Following her true passion, Christine became an accomplished concert dancer with several renowned
Chicago-based dance companies and served as the Rehearsal Director for the Gus Giordano Jazz Dance
Chicago Company. She enjoyed the privilege of performing in the first World Jazz Dance Congress in
Chicago with the Giordano Jazz Dance Company. Christine had the great pleasure to take the stage again at
the 2009 World Jazz Dance Congress in Chicago, Illinois with Giordano alumni, Sherry Zunker for Ms.
Zunker’s creation of The Mature Dance Project.
RCCL’s collaboration with Two Funny Guys for the creation of “Tango Buenos Aires” allowed Christine the
opportunity to study tango in Buenos Aires with world renowned dancer and instructor, Hector Falcon. She
has also had the opportunity to cha-cha and assist the Emmy nominated, LouisVan Amstel during the
creation of RCCL’s “Ballroom Fever.”
In November 2010, Royal Caribbean joined the Broadway family of “CHICAGO.” Christine had the honor to
work with the Broadway directorial team for this historic collaboration.
Christine continues to work with The Grier School, Fluidity Dance Company, Motion Dance and The
Principle Academy of Dance setting news pieces; teaching master classes; and giving career oriented lectures.
Christine recently joined forces with Marguerite Scott Entertainment to create RCCL’s latest themed event,
“ROCK ON.”
Pursuing her love and joy for dancing, Christine continues to study Argentine tango, ballroom and the latin
social dances. She is also a certified BeMoved instructor, the latest dance fitness movement.
