Letter of recommendation for Chris Sexton:
Chris Sexton is one of the finest teachers and persons that I have
ever met. His endearing personality, excellent preparation, and
incredible attention to detail contribute to a dynamic and engaging
learning experience for his students. Parents and colleagues rave
about Chris, and his students love him. Further, his students learn
volumes of mathematics in his classes, and Chris trains them to
communicate these concepts confidently and effectively in a
cooperative learning atmosphere.
Although impressive in the classroom, Chris is even more
impressive outside the classroom. From his work as the Surf Coach
to his leadership as the Freshman Class Dean, Chris has served in
an exemplary fashion in myriads of roles at La Jolla Country Day.
His work with curricular matters and faculty well-being has been
particularly impressive.
On a personal level, I count Chris as a valued friend. I can bounce
ideas off him in utmost confidence, and I respect his opinion like few
others. Further, his insight and emotional intelligence are off the
charts. His sensitivity and intellect are nearly unparalleled.
We will sorely miss Chris at LJCDS. Hire him! Hire him! Hire
Him! Get him under contract before any other institution has the
opportunity to steal him away. You will certainly recount his hiring
as one of the best decisions of your career.
