Under the direction of a Therapist, the Rehab Aide assists patients in the rehabilitation process
through provision of requested activities and assists the therapist with patient related treatment
activities as appropriate. Transports patients to/from therapy as needed. Lifts patients to/from
mats, treatment and tilt tables, wheelchairs and other equipment appropriate to the
facility/department while adhering to patient specific precautions. Prepares equipment and
physical plant for daily activities. Maintains department by keeping it a clean and orderly
condition as well as disinfects equipment throughout and at the conclusion of the treatment day
according to infection control policies and procedures. Maintaining inventory of all wheelchairs
and wheelchair parts, including distribution, cleaning and repair.
