COMPANY HISTORY
The original civil engineering and loss adjusting company was founded by Karl Sterkl in Linz
in 1984. In 2000 Martin Schörkhuber became a partner. In the following years, more offices
opened in Austria and other countries. Martin Schörkhuber has since been made Treasurer
of the vrs organisation, the president of AFILA (Austrian Federation of Independent Loss
Adjusters) and the Education Director of FUEDI (the European Federation of Independent
Loss Adjusters). The group handles approx. 10,000 claims per year.

COMPANY HISTORY
CED Belgium was created after obtaining the automotive survey activities from SGS,
acquiring activities in property and liability loss adjustment in 2007. The 2008 acquisition
of Pol Louis Expertises added to the group’s expertise in the field of industrial and
technical risks, pollution and construction. In 2010, CED International acquired Interiura, a
specialist claims handler in international motor claims and bodily injuries, with offices in
13 countries and represented in 41 countries across Europe.
