disease through case studies and ethnographies, and emphasize political, economic, structural and

 Worked directly with impoverished communities to educate them on creating more sustainable
environments and living patterns
 Taught community members the importance of sustainability to empower them to create their
own systems versus relying on outside sources for assistance
