Have you ever dared yourself to do all the things that you truly believe and desire?
Still you find yourself saying, “If only I had more time…money…skills.”
Life's road comes with many twists, turns, and bumps, especially when you feel you are at your most vulnerable. But
putting it all in perspective can make a huge difference. A simple change in perspective can lead you from feeling
overwhelmed and discouraged, to a place where you are challenging and DARING yourself to just DO the things you know
are necessary for your success
As an immigrant to Canada since 2002, Charlene has faced many life challenges. The move has been life changing, with
strained family dynamics and a lot of invaluable life lessons. These have taught her how cathartic and affirming starting
over can be. Over the past fifteen years, Charlene dared herself and has succeeded at doing many things. Eight years ago
she dared herself and garnered a position as a Professor of Human Relations, Sociology, and Living and Working in a
Diverse Society at a highly recognized college in Ontario, Canada. Today she has gained the respect from many of her
students as an excellent and engaging professor.
Another one of her risks was as the owner of a bridal boutique which she established in
2008. This retail establishment lasted five years as Charlene closed in order to focus on
her role as a mother.
Her life experience, coupled with her ability to dare herself in the midst of discord and
displacement, and succeed, gives Charlene a unique platform from which to dare others
to do the same. Now, as an Empowerment Speaker and Workshop/Funshop facilitator,
Charlene challenges others to do what she has done and continues to do: Charlene
DARED herself to do what feeds her spirit and is currently on the path to realizing her
dreams.
In 2013, after an unforeseen life circumstance, she returned to Jamaica and during that
time was offered a teaching contract at the University of Technology in Kingston. There
she lectured in Entrepreneurship. She returned at the end of the contract and is now continuing her journey in
Canada.

possesses. It is a celebration of women from all strata of society. Although Woman-focused, it does not exclude
men, many of whom have attended and sung its praises. This event includes the sharing of life altering stories by
Women who have not only overcome many life challenges, but have also walked away in triumphant.
Empowerment, motivation, and positive energies, are what you will experience during and after this event.

2.  Rediscovering You – The Road Less Traveled (1day seminar)
Because we are natural survivors, many of us have let fear stopped us from fully tapping
into our true potential. Life has suddenly changed and now many of us find ourselves
stuck, standing still and unsure of what to do next. This interactive seminar will show you
how to tap into your wealth of hidden potential to stir things up, rediscover your true gifts,
and allow yourself to explore more of YOU as you discover how to:
 Live your true purpose
 Take time to get to know YOU.

Charlene knows what it takes to start over and to embrace the things that feed her spirit. After years of taking
on everything and everyone else, then she finally got it - Time to DO ME!
