It is imperative to feel a sense
of purpose in my work, both
internally and externally.
The Seattle Times provides
me with that opportunity.
My day-to-day efforts
contribute to company
successes, and those successes
directly and positively affect the
community I live in.
While there are many
different departments
at The Seattle Times, we all
work towards the same goal:
providing our readers with
independent, quality
journalism. Our wins are
celebrated by everybody,
creating a great sense of pride.
The people at The Seattle Times
are a vital reason why I continue
to work here. And it is our
people that make it such
a special place.
News is being consumed
differently than it has in years
past. This means that
as a company, we have
to be flexible. But while our
distribution channels are
evolving, our commitment
to providing our community with quality journalism is still at the
center of our mission.
Moving into the future, I can confidently predict exactly what we will
and should be doing – connecting readers with the stories and
information that matter to them.
