Celeste is a graduate of the University of Hawaii Manoa where she majored in
Communications and was a member of the Phi Eta Sigma and Alpha Lamda Delta National
Honor Societies. She was a select choir member in high school and a teacher’s aide at a
Special Education School through high school and college. Legendary programmer Ron
Jacobs hired her for her first radio job—she worked for a summer as the station mascot.
After three months in a feathered chicken suit she knew she needed more and began
learning the trade of radio.
Celeste and her husband Alan live in Mill Valley with their rescue dog Veto. They have two
sons, Aaron and Harrison. When she’s not at work you can find Celeste hiking the trails of
Marin, biking through the Wine Country, cooking, reading, doing Improvisational Theater
work, writing and planning her family’s next big trip. A Hawaii native of Portuguese and
Japanese descent Celeste loves to travel. Her passport has been stamped in India, Norway,
France, Greece, England, Belgium, Italy and Spain. Japan is next on her list.
