The CRTG Working Group has concluded the first of its technical sessions, addressing issues related to children affected by the foreign fighter phenomenon. Our goal was to identify practical solutions that can help protect children navigating the digital environment, while preventing and limiting the spread of extremist ideologies online. We are grateful to our panelists and participants including Ardian Shajkovci, Ph.D. Co-Founder and Director of American Counterterrorism Targeting and Resilience Institute (ACTRI), Hallie J. Stern Founder and Director of Mad Mirror Media, Guillaume Soto-Mayor Non-Resident Fellow CRTG Working Group, and Peta Lowe NSW JP Principal Consultant Phronesis Consulting and Training for their valuable contributions. We look forward to share our findings and contribute to policymaking and responses to children in terrorism.
