是背包客度假天堂的布吉島，近年出現了許多新
一代的海灘酒吧和餐廳，為旅客提供各國美酒佳餚，
並請來國際級DJ打碟。這個位於泰國的熱帶島嶼擁
有醉人的海景，提供香檳以至各種奢華度假設施，讓
旅客樂而忘返，即使是名模如Kate Moss與明星如
林志穎等，也深受吸引。
海灘俱樂部XANA Beach Club總監Philipp

establishments on the tropical Thai island are known for their fun
vibe. The combination of sea, champagne and relaxed luxury appeals
even to celebrities such as Kate Moss and Jimmy Lin Chih-ying.
“Beach clubs are casual and easy,” says Philipp Seipelt, Director
of XANA Beach Club. The attraction is due in part to more direct
flights to the island, which is a top Asian destination that now lures
a younger generation with money to spend.
Most of Phuket’s top beach venues are attached to resorts offer-
ing both spas and facilities for children, with many grouped on the
island’s north-western beaches. But if you want to see different parts

Catch Beach Club於年開業，是布吉島首家海灘

by Montara is on the more southerly Kata beach;
Baba Nest at Sri Panwa Phuket perches on the
southern coast; while new resort Point Yamu by
COMO on the less developed eastern side is set to
open its private island beach club in January.
It’s an upmarket but inclusive trend, although
during the crowded high season bars give prior-
ity to guests staying at their resorts. Many of the
clubs have day and nighttime personalities. XANA,
an offshoot of the popular Attica nightclub in
Singapore, is particularly family-friendly in the
daytime, with cabanas for groups, and infinity pool
and popular Wagyu beef burgers. By night, it turns
into an open-air nightclub that can accommodate
nearly 5,000 patrons.
XANA is part of Angsana Laguna Phuket, a
sprawling 20-hectare complex that General Man-
ager Albert Ocasio describes as a five-star resort
aimed at families where fun matters. Kids can
explore its huge lagoon pool, do something new at
the activities club or visit Lucky, the baby elephant.
“People want to enjoy more, to see and be seen,”
says hotelier Vorasit “Wan” Issara, whose family
developed villa resort Sri Panwa. His Baba Nest bar
has mesmerising views to accompany tapas or the

is growing,” says Wan.
Catch Beach Club was the first on Phuket when
it began in 2007 as a bar for guests of the sleek,
adult-oriented Twinpalms resort. Catch Manager
Ben De Bellis says a number of beach clubs have
opened in the past three years as part of a positive
change that is emulating Saint-Tropez. He says the
popularity of rosé and yachts moored offshore dur-
ing high season are part of the Mediterranean feel.
The Catch is all about affordable luxury, while its
sibling, Bimi Beach Club, is more casual.
Bliss Beach Club, although an independent
beach bar, is five minutes from Twinpalms by
car. Its eclectic menu offers sharing plates
such as soft shell crab salad with lemongrass and
chili dressing, fresh ginger mojitos and
music from a pool of DJs.

With sunloungers nestling around a half-moon
pool a few metres from the waves, RE KÁ TA
Beach Club makes the most of an enviable
location with designer cocktails, a
champagne list and light cuisine,
along with a spa and a surf shop offer-
ing lessons for all ages. Cooking classes
are held at the adjacent Boathouse Wine
& Grill, where foie gras and lobster are
served with sea views and wine from its
award-winning cellar.
No wonder Phuket’s upscale mix of
beach, sun and fun is hard to resist.
